We’ve been a part of a family-owned printing business that began more than 30 years ago. If you haven’t been around the commercial printing industry you probably wouldn’t think much about it. What we’ve witnessed is the drawbacks. Printing is not the most sustainable or environment friendly business. It is necessary and provides great service to many people, both individuals and businesses alike. But when you think about the downfalls such as ink cartridges, chemicals, paper sourced from trees—there are so many ways that waste is created and our environment is impacted from this industry. My wheels began to turn on how we could do better. How could we create a more sustainable and more future focused printing company?

Then the craziness of 2020 hit. As many of you experienced, with being quarantined at home I had more time to watch tv. One morning I watched a report about the massive destruction of the Amazon rain forest. I listened with sadness as reports estimated that more than 13,000 sq km (5,019 sq miles) of the Brazilian Amazon was burned in the first seven months of 2020 alone. I watched and wondered about the long-term fallout. How would this affect the next generation or maybe generations to come? Growing up you learned the importance of oxygen producing plants in school, how they gave life. And now, we were watching thousands of acres of forest being destroyed before our eyes.

So how could I help? What could I do? One of our favorite things to do as a family is go down to the family farm and play in the woods. We drive our Jeep down to the edge of the woods and hop out to stroll through the trees that have stood tall for decades. We eventually wind our way down to the creek. Nature is such a beautiful gift that all kids should be able to experience! I want to do our part in making that experience a reality for all.

Tree 1

Looking into the eyes of my two young children, my husband and I knew we had to do something differently. Something that would not only continue to provide the same great service and products, but also show our kids that you can break from the mold of how things have always been done and find creative new ways that leave a positive impact. I wanted to create a business centered on doing what’s right. I decided to create a printing company that doesn’t just take from the environment, but instead gives back. I knew we could show our kids that we can make an impact, even if it is just one tree at a time. That day Diva Prints was born.

We at Diva Prints are on a mission to replenish mother nature. We want to renew her for years to come. Not just once or twice, but for as long as we can. When you order from Diva Prints, you are helping restore our planet. We are on a mission to plant 5,000 trees this year! Some we will plant ourselves on our family farm, and yet others we will partner with foundations to help restore trees worldwide. And in generations, these trees that you help us plant, will grow into the mighty, life-giving force they’re meant to be.

Our children are a part of this mission, they are the reason we began this mission! All youth deserve to have an earth rich in plant life and the ability to experience nature as it was given to us. Follow our website and social media pages to see us in action planting and contributing to worldwide efforts of reforestation!

We thank you for visiting and ordering from our company. You just joined our mission of saving the world one print at a time. <3
